Course two done: "Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions."
If the first course was about what analysts do, this one was about the part I underrated: asking the right question before you go looking for answers.
Turns out a lot of bad analysis isn't a data problem — it's a question problem. Vague ask in, vague insight out. The course drills into structuring questions properly, pinning down what a stakeholder actually needs (versus what they said they wanted), and being honest about what the data can and can't tell you.
As a designer this hit home. The best briefs I've worked on weren't the ones with the most detail — they were the ones where someone had already done the hard work of framing the real problem. Same muscle, different tool.
Two down. Starting to feel like a habit.
